As a rule of thumb, the larger your home, the more powerful the system you’ll need. But it’s not just about square footage - the quality of your insulation and even your ceiling height make a difference. A small, well-insulated home might only need a split system, while a large double-storey home could benefit from ducted heating.

Option 1: Split Systems for Zoned Heating

Split systems are great for heating a single room or open-plan space. I’ve installed these in many Melbourne homes where families want to warm only the living area without touching the bedrooms. They’re also eligible for split system rebates in Victoria, which makes them a cost-effective option to run and install.

Option 2: Ducted Heating for Whole-Home Comfort
