Split System Air Conditioner Reward Promotion

This government run rebate program will allow your household to:

Receive a $1,000 rebate on the cost of a new split system reverse cycle air conditioner, this also includes multi-head unit split system air conditioners.

$200 rebate on the cost of decommissioning your outdated room gas heater when it is being replaced by a new split system air conditioner.

Also, in case your switchboard needs to be upgraded for the new split system air conditioner you can also claim another $500 to cover this cost.

This means you could be eligible up to a total of $1700 rebate on your new split system airconditioner unit and installation.

Home Heating and Cooling Upgrade Programs Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this program you need to meet the following requirements:

Owner Occupiers

You need to replace an existing gas, fixed electric, wood heating system or if you have no existing at home heating system with a new energy-efficient reverse-cycle split system air conditioner.
Install an energy efficient reverse-cycle split system air conditioner in your living room from the HHCUP approved products list by an approved HHCUP supplier, this includes Coldflow Heating and Cooling.
Be an owner-occupier household with an approved concession card, or with a combined household income of less than $90,000.

Rental Providers

own a rental property that is either:
- earning $500 or less in weekly rent, or
- occupied by renters holding a valid concession card or with a combined household income below $90,000, or
- unoccupied with a potential to earn $500 or less in weekly rent
declare the rental property is not used for holiday accommodation (such as Airbnb)
replace an existing gas, fixed electric or wood heater or no heating with an energy efficient reverse-cycle air conditioner
install a reverse-cycle air conditioner from the Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades Program approved products list by an approved Home Heating and Cooling Program supplier
